A blessing is a passive effect granted for the rest of a run. They come in three forms: Star Blessings, which are weaker but almost strictly positive, Black Hole Blessings, which are stronger but come with a drawback, and Event Blessings, which have varying effects, or even none. Each blessing has a unique icon representing it, and active blessings can be seen in the top left of the screen.

Acquiring Star Blessings

Star Blessings can be obtained from a Star Telescope node, from a shrine by sacrificing a Heart, by triumphing in Hard fights, and from certain events.

Any If you have 25 dice in your dice pool, increase Purification received by enemies by 1 and for each additional 5 dice, increase Purification received by enemies by 1.
Divine Prism
Any Whenever you receive Corruption during your turn, a random enemy receives Purification for each Corruption received by you.
Whenever a sentinel receives Corruption during your turn, a random enemy receives 2 Purification for each Corruption received by that sentinel.

Spectral Harvester
Any Whenever you or a Sentinel deal Corruption to an enemy, increase this counter equal to the amount of Corruption dealt.
When this counter reaches 6, draw 1 die.

Star Chart
Any Every turn, the first die you play is returned to your draw pool instead of being discarded.

Any Whenever you deal Corruption or apply Affliction, increases your Soul Heat by 1.
Pyramidal Anomaly
Any Whenever an enemy gets Overcorrupted, that enemy receives 3 Purification X times, where X is your Soul Heat.
If you have Flammable Chakram, this Purification triggers it.
Redemption Flail
Any Whenever an enemy gets Overcorrupted, if that enemy has Relief, trigger it, then decreases that enemy Relief by 1.
Resonant Ankh
Any Whenever you or a sentinel deal Corruption to an enemy or apply Affliction to an enemy, gain 2 Chanting.
Royal Scarab
Any At the end of your turn, all enemies receive 2 Purification for each Affliction that sentinels have.
Singing Urn
Any Whenever you would lose all Chanting, all enemies receive 2 Purification for each Chanting you have.
Slate of Plenty
Any Whenever you receive Purification from Relief, a random enemy receives 1 Purification for Purification that exceeded your Corruption Meter.
