Bone Khopesh is a Black Hole Blessing.
Description
Whenever you reach Soul Heat 10, draw 2 dice. Whenever you reach Soul Heat 5, draw 1 die and you receive 6 Corruption. This Corruption is not increased by any Corruption modifier.
History
v1.1.565: Added "draw 1 die" for Soul Heat 5, made the Corruption dealt not increased by any Corruption Modifier.
Interactions
- Sothis naturally lacks consistency in moving his Corruption meter in order to activate Virtues, so the drawback is actually a benefit in disguise, albeit one fraught with some risk if the player moves to Soul Heat 5 at the wrong time.
- The drawback can be negated if an effect or combination of effects causes Soul Heat to move to above 5 from below 5. (e.g. the player has 6 Concentration, then at the turn start they move directly from 0 to 6 Soul Heat without taking the penalty from 5)
- Once Soul Heat 10 is able to be consistently reached, dice which decrease (but not reset to 0) your Soul Heat become incredibly valuable, as they allow you to move onto Soul Heat 10 repeatedly to draw many dice in a turn, greatly accelerating whatever engine you have in your run.
