Adapted Courier is a Sentinel.
Description
Adapted Courier offers selective draw through the Astral Calling action, which is important for lining up key combos, especially in builds that run large Astrariums or where the order of dice play is essential for the build's engine.
Discard retrieval through the Void Seek action, and returning dice back to the draw pool using
Astral Rebound to draw them again normally allow for reuse of the same dice or dice from previous turns, which can accelerate setup-heavy engines.
Rebounding allows for setting up a die to be played on a future turn, e.g. a pay-off die that has not accumulated enough value yet, or a catalyst die that is not yet able to trigger a combo, such as lining up Purging Anchor's meta-scaling effect with
Frenzy or
Blazar Disk, or other similarly powerful combos with
Hurricane and
Bloody Solstice.
Interactions
Shield Boomerang and
Boomerang Repair don't consume Astral Rebound stacks, so the player does not have to pay attention to the order in which they play these dice when they are are present with Adapted Courier or dice with the Astral Rebound action.
